L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele Ebisu

Great woodfired pizza in a bustling eatery with friendly staff. I’ve been here a few times and have always enjoyed the pizza. Some reviewers have commented that it’s noisy - it’s true that it can get very crowded at times, so if that’s not your thing (but great pizza is) then try and go outside the rush hours. They accept card, but there was one instance I went where they asked for cash only. So (as with everywhere in Japan) it’s prudent to have cash handy.

Amazing experience!! I am from Italy and I can say is the real pizza like in Italy in good pizzeria!! I have been also in Michele in Naples 3 times and the pizza is the same, the only difference is the mozzarella that in Naples il bufala!! Good prices and awesome staff!! 🇯🇵❤️🇮🇹✌️

It’s very loud inside without much ambience, tables close together and crowded, too brightly lit like a cafeteria. I thought the waitstaff were a little rude, except a nice young man who helped cut our pizza for us (yes, the pizza came out uncut and they didn’t have a pizza cutter, just a regular knife and fork.) When they were closing up, one of the staff came to us and said CLOSED in English quite roughly even though we had been ordering in Japanese the whole time. The pizza is clearly made from good ingredients but I didn’t find it too remarkable. It’s only notable because Japan lacks good pizza. I found the crust too soft? Almost floppy? Maybe I’m a barbaric American but I think thin crust should be closer to crisp. We were a group of five and had three pizzas plus a salad.

Fantastic restaurant in a great location of Tokyo. True authentic Italian options and pizza. The service and food was absolutely fantastic. The owner went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect. Will be back again for sure. We attended a wedding and they accommodated seating for 20 people and asked about our event. They sent out custom heart shaped pizzas for the happy couple. Amazing attention to details.

For the love of pizza! I see a lot of reviews that this pizza is very close to Naples. Ingredients were great, but I just wonder if the dough is supposed to be that soggy.

Outdoor seating of you have a dog. Reservations recommended. Good and reasonable wine list. If you don't finish, they give you a very nice wine bag to take home. The star is the pizza. Large enough for two if you have a starter. If I could give a half star it's be a 4.5.

The inside is really cheesy but overall the chiusa is delicious!!

Delicious pizza!!2 options for each pizza. Regular and extra cheeseWe ordered extra cheese but I don't think it was extra... maybe amount of cheese is adjusted based on Japanese preference. You will have to use your knife and fork to cut pizza. Appetizers are also delicious. Great amount of drink options.
